Website, Bookings and Payments

We use trusted service providers to operate our website, contact forms, email, online bookings and payments. These may include Hostinger, WordPress, Acuity Scheduling, Squarespace, Stripe and website security tools.

These providers may process information on our behalf under their own privacy policies. Some information may be stored or processed outside Australia.

Melbourne Learners Academy does not receive or store your complete payment card details when payments are processed through Stripe.

L2P Program Bookings

L2P lessons are arranged by authorised program coordinators using a private booking link.

The coordinator may provide the learner’s name, phone number, pick-up location, driving history, previous lesson experience and any relevant notes. This may include whether a parent, L2P representative or mentor will attend.

After a lesson, Melbourne Learners Academy may provide the L2P coordinator with feedback about what was covered, the learner’s progress and any safety, behavioural or other concerns relevant to the program.

Vehicle Cameras and Audio

Melbourne Learners Academy vehicles use front, rear and cabin-facing cameras, including audio recording inside the vehicle. These recordings form part of our safety procedures for learners, passengers and instructors.

Learners are advised about the recording in the Terms and Conditions and when entering the vehicle. Recording is a condition of providing the lesson. If a learner or passenger does not agree to being recorded, Melbourne Learners Academy may be unable to proceed with the lesson.

Recordings may be used for safety, incident review, insurance, complaints or legal requirements. Footage is automatically overwritten unless it needs to be retained for one of these purposes.

Recordings will not be used for advertising, social media or other promotional purposes without separate permission.

Sharing and Protecting Your Information

We only share personal information when reasonably necessary to provide our services, manage bookings and payments, administer L2P lessons, respond to an incident or comply with legal requirements.

Information may be shared with authorised service providers, parents or guardians, L2P coordinators, councils, VicRoads, insurers, police, emergency services or legal advisers where appropriate.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and retain it only for as long as needed for business, insurance, safety or legal purposes.

Emails and Marketing

We may send booking confirmations, reminders, receipts and other messages needed to provide our services.

If Melbourne Learners Academy sends promotional emails or text messages in the future, recipients will be able to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing from marketing will not stop essential booking or service messages.
